Travel is by its very nature, an education. Experiencing the newness of life and then coupling it with daring feats of endurance and an appreciation of environments through which journeys pass offers an insight into human evolution.

These days, with technology allowing us to share journeys - however remote - those who adventure are in a position to have their expeditions impact others like never before.

To be able to fuse my greatest passions of sport, travel, film and photography, I've been lucky enough to build a career not only giving me the opportunity to have adventures, but to display them in such a way that it makes others want to pass on the baton.

On all of my trips I support the AV Foundation, work hard as an Ambassador for the BLUE Project to encourage an appreciation of our rivers, oceans and lakes through sporting participation and also to share a wider message that a positive attitude and self-belief allows us to achieve anything that we put our minds to.
